Communication and technology expert with university degree in translation
I am a French and English to German translator and native speaker of German, specialising in technical translation, website localisation and corporate communications.
Academic background
I hold a triple degree in Translation (Diplom-Übersetzerin FH, Maîtrise Internationale and BA Honours), which I completed at Northumbria University in England, Université de Provence in France and Fachhochschule Köln in Germany, as part of the Applied Modern Languages European study programme.
Professional experience
As a former PR manager for a financial services consultancy in Germany, I have an extensive working background in the area of corporate communications.
I have also acquired expert knowledge in the fields of automation technology, manufacturing and electronics thanks to more than 3 years’ experience working as an in-house technical translator for a German sensor and controls maker.
In 2013, I started my own business as a freelance translator and have since completed a wide variety of translation projects for clients in the fields of IT, finance, energy, steel production, automation and development cooperation, among others. I have also developed a particular interest in medical translations and regularly attend training modules on healthcare topics.
Thorough research and quality management are fundamental components of my work. I use modern CAT tools to ensure the highest possible consistency in terminology.
My customers include small, medium-sized and large companies, technology experts, software specialists, associations, individuals and translation agencies.
I’m a member of BDÜ, the professional association of interpreters and translators in Germany.
